Who Is Paul Mbaru?
DATA SCIENTIST | DATA & AI ENGINEER | BIOSTATISTICIAN
Hey there! I am Paul Mbaru Kamau, also known as PaulBear. From an early age, I've had a natural inclination toward identifying patterns in complex systems and understanding the mathematics that govern them. That curiosity evolved into a strong foundation in mathematics, biostatistics, finance, and data science, where I now focus on statistical machine learning, AI systems and data engineering.
My work spans machine learning operations (MLOps), distributed and federated learning, deep reinforcement learning, and the design of high-performance, secure, and scalable data systems. I'm particularly drawn to quantitative research, where mathematical and statistical thinking meet real-world complexity.
Beyond technical work, I enjoy writing about data science, finance, biostatistics, mathematics, and emerging technologies, while developing open-source projects and continuously exploring new ideas at the intersection of statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and large-scale computation.
